Nine Principles of Fair Trade

The UNA Gift Shop subscribes to the principles of the Fair Trade Association, which is fully committed to equitable and sustainable trading partnerships. It strengthens and supports members in growing the global movement of trade that values the health of the planet and the labor, dignity, and equality of all people. The nine principles are:

5. Pay promptly and fairly

6. Support safe and empowering working conditions
